Be kind to a stranger.

Putting pen to paper has always been something to solidify my thoughts, giving them life. It brings clarity when my mind storms with fragments and shards.
So many notebooks filled with dreams, prayers, ideas, goals, quotes, a scrap of paper or a picture collected from various locations and times. All mean nothing and something.

It's lovely to look back and witness my journey and the different things that captured my attention. Some ideas are fleeting. And some have been floating around for years. What is important to me, is that certain ideas become a reality.

I have found that the practice of writing, cultivates a (flexible) pledge from myself to the universe. This pledge gives my words a place from which to be born. And so I would love you to share your 'lust list'.
These lust lists are endlessly changing and void of a timeframe, they can be whatever you want them to be. In this very moment what would yours say?

Some fragments from my notebook...

Be present. Surrender.
Find contentment in what I have.
Look for answers from within, or realise that I have no more questions
Om Namah Shivaya - I honour the divinity that resides within me.
Always strive to be the best version of myself.

And this one has been around for a while, it brings me so much happiness... Be kind to a stranger, everyday.

Please share your lists, they can be as simple or complex as you like :)

Love J x

  1. Travel for the rest of my days....
Keep on learning and growing 'til I pass on to my next life....
    Live life to the FULL....
Surround myself with positive and inspirational people....
Be the best daughter, sister, friend, lover and mother that I can possibly be....
Lead by example and assist those in need....
I could go on and on and on... Is that greedy :)

  2. To dance, sing, laugh and eat well everyday and sleep soundly every night. x

  3. For my relationships to grow,
To do things with passion and to inspire and bring joy to others,
To have the courage to face my fears and turn them into pleasures,
To find something good in every situation and to see the best in every person,
To follow my dreams and to remember always to dream.

  4. To get through each day with integrity and honesty. To see each situation as it is and remain kind to others and myself. To be the best Mother I can. To never stop learning and growing and to remember my lessons.

  5. To get some loving this weekend!

  6. What a collection of yummy lists. Thank you x

The last one makes me laugh...

Dear Lord or Lady, I hope that your quest for connection with another is fulfilled with sincerity. I hope that you honour both sacred bodies and that this union brings sheer ecstasy upon you both! Amen.

  8. I recieved this email this morning and it made me so happy that I couldnt resist sharing it with you all...

I just read your list on today's blog and the point about 'helping a stranger' caught my eye. Its snowing here in London and i've just been out to do some shopping. On my way back from the station, i walked past an old man with one crutch who looked as if he was in alot of pain. I asked him if was OK and whether i could do anything to help him. He seemed to proud to accept my help- we both had arms full of shopping, so i'm not sure what i could have done anyway, but i left hoping that my kind words had left him with a nice, warm feeling inside and then realised that it had miraculously shifted my own melancholy! It left me thinking that i had given both him and MYSELF a gift. Isn't that beautiful.
